When John Olivarez and a business partner started Pro Metals in 2007 it was located in a small 2,400 square foot building in Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Olivarez took sole ownership of Pro Metals in January of 2014. By that time the company had already outgrown its original location and Mr. Olivarez then purchased an existing mechanical contractor’s assets and moved the business from Kansas to a larger location in Kansas City, Missouri. That move provided Pro Metals with a building that was more suited to a full-service sheet metal fabrication shop and an increased production capacity. Due to Pro Metals rapidly growing reputation for competitive pricing and our ability to complete our scope of work on time and still maintain the highest standards for quality, we once again outgrew our facilities and in 2020 moved to a location with almost 20,000 square feet of production space. This latest move also involved substantial investments in machinery and personnel, thus increasing production capacity even further while still maintaining quality, and bringing our fabrication abilities up to par with some of the largest sheet metal shops in our market.
